Eureka Anemos Saga – WIP

Final Fantasy XIV
Expansion: Stormblood
Patch: 4.25 as of March 13, 2018
Status: 4.25 work in progress

Patches that affected the Anima Saga quests: (none yet)

Jump to: (none yet)

Starting Point:

  1. Accept the quest “And We Shall Call It Eureka” from Galiena Western Rhalgr’s Reach
  2. Speak with Kotokaze Shiokaze Hostelry, Kugane. A cutscene will follow.
  3. Speak with Gerolt Pier 1, Kugane. Another cutscene will follow and the quest will be concluded. Rewards: 2000 gil, Eureka Anemos accessibility
  4. To continue the questline, speak with nearby Rodney to ‘Journey to Eureka’.
  5. Upon arriving at Eureka, speak with the following NPCs in this order to proceed with the questline:
    • Krile – An explanation of the lore.
    • Gerolt – An explanation of the game system in Eureka.
    • Magia Melder – The elemental Magic Board.
    • Krile – She will give you access to the Expedition Provisioner and then send you off to obtain a Protean Crystal.
    • Krile – She will accept the Protean Crystal and direct you to Gerolt.
    • Gerolt – Unlocks the Eureka Gear and Weapons challenge.
    • Krile – At Elemental Level 3 or higher, she will give a hint to the next quest location: an observatory atop a hill to the northwest. There is no map marker for this quest. Take the north exit from the camp then head to x13.3 y20.3 Early Natural History Society Observatory. It is guarded by Level 7 enemies. The quest object that you need to inspect is the Confluence inside the Observatory.
    • Krile – At Elemental Level 5 or higher, she will give a hint to the next quest location: the Orchard to the northeast. There is no map marker for this quest. Take the north exit from the camp then head to x24.4 y23.1 The Orchard. It is near Level 10 enemies but they are a safe distance away from the quest objective. I suggest you use Ninja’s ‘Hide’. The quest object that you need to inspect is the Confluence in an open field.
    • Krile – At Elemental Level 13 or higher, she will give a hint to the next quest location: the Marge to the north. There is no map marker for this quest. Since you can use the other aetherytes now, teleport to the Abandoned Laboratory then head to the directly northern part of the map: The Marge. It is at the bottom of the waterfall and near very strong enemies so be very careful. I suggest you use Ninja’s ‘Hide’. Keep in mind that Hide will be dispelled once you interact with the quest object, so wait for the surrounding enemies to look away first. The quest object that you need to inspect is the Confluence.
    • Krile – (to be continued)

Aethernet Shards Attunement:

  1. Port Surgate – the starting point
  2. Windtorn Cabin – x30.2 y20.7, requires Elemental Level 9
  3. Abandoned Laboratory – x14.9 y12.3, requires Elemental Level 9

Eureka Anemos Game System:

Image from the FFXIV 4.25 patch notes.

  1. All players start at Elemental Level 1.
  2. Gear above IL300 will be synched.
  3. All skills and abilities from outside Eureka are retained.
  4. Elemental affinities come into play and can be adjusted via the Magic Board. See image above for elemental strengths and weaknesses.
  5. Protean Crystals appear as a player chains monster kills. The higher the chain, the higher the Crystal drop chance. Only a monster of equal level or higher will link a chain. Maximum chain is 30 which gives 100% chance of Protean Crystal, and then the chain is reset. Protean Crystal is an inventory item so there must be space in your bag.
  6. Anemos Crystals are rewards from killing Notorious Mobs, boss FATEs that appear on the map after a specific amount of time passes and number of mobs are killed. Anemos Crystals can be exchanged for 2 – 5 Protean Crystals at Gerolt; the quantity is random.

Eureka Anemos Gear and Weapons:
